Welcome to the NWCA

The North Westside is a community of 2,000 homes located on the Westside of Okanagan Lake, between Westshore Estates and La Casa Resort.  The North Westside Community Association (NWCA) is led by a group of elected Board of Directors who works with our residents and our local government partners to advance community interests and manage services built by the community.  The Association actively hosts social events, sports activities, volunteer initiatives, and much more.

For short term evacuation assistance for McDougall Creek Wildfire we encourage you to register and contact ESS.

There are community members, such as members of the Wilsons Landing Fire Department, on the North Westside who have experienced loss of their home from our current fires.  Our goal is to connect homeowners and find suitable housing for community members who may have lost their homes, and for every person that wishes to stay on the Westside during their rebuild.  If you have a room, or space available, items you wish to donate, please contact us by clicking the button below and we will gather your detailed information such as number of rooms, pets allowed, etc. to create a private list to facilitate matches and ease this difficult process for our beloved Westside.

THE GOOD FOOD BOX

The Good Food Box Society is a volunteer-run, universally accessible produce buying cooperative that increases access to affordable local vegetables and fruit through community partnerships, while strengthening our local food system.

Starting November, dependent on if we can find a volunteer driver with a truck/SUV, Click Here to Volunteer,  we are looking to become a pickup location at Killiney Beach Community Hall, for the third Thursday of every month, to subscribers of The Good Food Box.

At the entrance to all North Westside communities there are NWCA Community Communication Message Board structures set up.  These boards serve as shelters and communication and are maintained by the community members of the North Westside.  You can find upcoming events, want ads, business cards, and business promotional flyers.

    • Princess Margaret Secondary School, 120 Green Ave West, in Penticton 

We would like to connect locals that can with locals in need and make the process to recover, restore, and rebuild in our North Westside community as best we can in their time of need.

Upcoming 2024 Events Needing Sponsorship

The upcoming list of 2024 NWCA Events in the works and looking for your support through sponsorship. What we do could not happen without the help from our community sponsors. Every donation dollar is valued and every sponsor level is recognized. Explore the list of events below and click the links to view events details. We Appreciate and Support your Business

We need you and your sponsorship support to run our events. All and any level of sponsorship donation will receive a thank you sponsorship certificate and tax receipt. Graphics are prepared and distributed including your corporate logo on event signage and posters. Marketing is done through multiple channels at the NWCA to feature YOU!

 

Website

Our website NWCAOnline.ca received a brand new look and was launched in November of 2022 and has been gaining traction, views, and is netting sales. The NWCA website will be a source of archive and previous years sponsors will be retained for record and recognition. Click here to view our 2023 Sponsors!

Our digital monthly newsletter is sent directly to our 530+ subscribers inboxes and features articles, upcoming events, and other updates from our association.
